Hi,
I'm Andy, and I've been performing on stage as a musician for most of my life.
If you are here and reading this because you suffer from stage fright, and you feel that you are never able to give your best on stage, then I was exactly where you are now.
I learned to play the euphonium at the age of 7, and quickly started to perform both as a soloist and as part of an ensemble.
For the longest time I was able to excel on stage and give my best performances when it mattered.
I studied music at University, specialising in performance in my final year, and was able to use all that I had learned to play well on stage time after time.
I won many competitions as a soloist and part of a brass band, including becoming a Scottish champion, and representing Scotland at the European Championships.
I've been fortunate enough to perform in many great venues, such as the Albert Hall, Symphony Hall and many others.
I developed performance issues later in life as a musician, after a particularly difficult performance on stage.
After this I developed a stutter in my playing, and the worry this caused left me virtually unable to play a note.
My playing was accompanied by an uncontrollable shake, which made it impossible to even keep the instrument on my face, let alone produce a sound worthy of the environment I was performing in.
The stress of going on stage in some of the biggest concert venues, struggling to produce even a note, never mind the best version of my playing eventually forced me to stop playing.
After not playing for around 5 years, I decided it was time to make a comeback.
This coincided with me going through the most stressful time in my life, culminating in me developing acute worry and stress issues alongside the performance nerves I had already developed.
I reached out to a friend, someone who was a brass player, and now working as a hypnotherapist, working with people suffering from both stress and worry and performance mindset.
After just one session I was able to eliminate the production problems from my playing, control my emotions on stage and control nerves in ways I didn't think were possible.
After this I studied to become a hypnotherapist with the school of hypnotherapy that she studied with. Now I use everything I have learned to help musicians with performance mindset.

Can you guess what I found out through my own journey? Controlling and removing worry and performance issues isn't difficult. You don't need to see a therapist for months or even years to deal with these things.
Once you understand the way your brain works, and why it responds to being on stage in the way it does, you can quickly and easily unlock your full potential on stage, playing better than you could ever dream of.
I've combined everything I've learned on my own journey, and in helping many people in the same position to quickly and easily overcome performance issues.
My performance mindset sessions combine cutting edge science based research on how the brain works and why it responds to performing on stage in the way it does with therapeutic techniques, subconscious reprogramming, and relaxation and breathing techniques to allow you to perform on stage to the best of your abilities.
Musicians who want to learn how to master and control the physical symptoms of stage fright
If you dream of being able to play on stage at the same level as you achieve when you practise at home then these sessions are for you
For those of you who want to enjoy playing on stage rather than it being an ordeal that you just about get through
For musicians of all standards and ages, from complete beginner, to those looking to audition for musical institutions, to professional musicians and all levels in between
These sessions are suitable for all musicians, including singers, brass and woodwind players, pianists, guitars, percussionists and anything else you can think of

You don't want to develop a strong performance mindset and start giving performances on stage that you usually only dream of
These sessions are aimed at musicians of all levels, from those just starting out, to those auditioning to attend musical institutions, to professional musicians who are paid to perform on stage.
No previous knowledge of hypnosis or any other self-help techniques is required, as I explain everything clearly and in simple terms so that you can maximise the benefits from my own experiences.
What you will find is that once you have learned the skills and techniques taught in these sessions, you will also be able to apply them in other areas of your life too.
Not only will you become a FEARLESS PERFORMER on stage, you will also be able to make vast improvements in other areas of your life if you apply the principles and ideas that I teach.
I work with people both in person and online using Zoom. Hypnosis is just as effective online as it is in person.
The initial consultation is for me to see how I can help, and to make sure you feel comfortable working with me, as this is very important.
After this I can put a plan together to help you develop your performance mindset. This is generally done in four sessions.
Yes, everybody is hypnotisable to some extent - some more than others.
If you have ever sat on a train or a bus and suddenly come round after daydreaming, you were in a naturally occurring state of trance.
If you have been watching TV and had to rewind your favourite show because you were lost in your thoughts then you were in a naturally state of trance.
People go in and out of these states several times throughout the day, and using hypnosis is just another way of invoking this.
The subconscious mind is more susceptible to change when in this trance state, and that's why the ideas and techniques in these sessions work so quickly and have such a lasting effect.
Hypnosis is a collaborative action that requires just as much from the subject as it does the hypnotherapist.
For most people, hypnotherapy is a pleasant, gentle, and extremely safe experience. However, your safety is my number one concern and there are occasions where hypnosis would be contraindicated.
That means there may be a risk. If you have any medical condition, please ask your doctor to give their approval before starting these sessions with me.
